Workshops
Conversations that create room to think and move forward.
Some parts of living with cancer don’t fit neatly into appointments, handouts, or treatment plans.
Our small-group virtual workshops give patients and caregivers a place to consider what matters, reflect on their own experience, compare experiences with others, and think about what may help them move forward.
Consider. Reflect. Compare.
Conversation, not classroom.
Our workshops aren’t lectures or webinars where you sit quietly while someone talks at you.
They combine conversation, reflection, anonymous polls, private writing, and shared experience. You can participate in the way that feels right for you, including simply listening.
There are no right answers to find and no expectation that everyone will see things the same way.
We share experiences, not prescriptions.

What the Handouts Don’t Tell You
Because information is only part of the experience.
Cancer comes with plenty of information. But some of the questions that matter most don’t always fit neatly into medical handouts.
This 90-minute virtual small-group workshop creates room to consider those questions, reflect on your own experience, and hear how others have navigated them.

Making Decisions When There Isn’t a Right Answer
Some decisions come with options, not answers.
When more than one path is reasonable, the hardest part may be figuring out which one fits you.
This 90-minute virtual small-group workshop creates room to clarify what matters, weigh tradeoffs, compare experiences, and think more clearly about the decision in front of you.

Making Room for Life
Treatment may shape your days. It doesn’t have to occupy all of them.
Cancer can quietly take up more and more space. Appointments, decisions, waiting, recovery, and uncertainty can begin organizing life around themselves.
This 90-minute virtual small-group workshop creates room to consider what matters most now and where you may want to reclaim some time, attention, energy, or joy.

WHAT TO EXPECT
A small group. A real conversation.
Workshops are designed for approximately 12–15 participants and are facilitated by Scott & Patty Carroll.
You’ll stay together as one group throughout the session. There are no breakout rooms and no pressure to speak.
Depending on the workshop, you may be invited to participate through conversation, chat, anonymous polls, private reflection, or simply listening.
Come as you are.
Built from lived experience
We know what it feels like when the choices, questions, and emotions surrounding cancer extend far beyond what happens in the exam room.
Our workshops grew from our own experiences as patient and caregiver, along with what we’ve learned through conversations with others navigating cancer.
They aren’t medical care, counseling, or support groups. They’re places to slow things down, hear different perspectives, and consider what might be useful in your own life.

We’re beginning with small pilot groups as we learn what works best and prepare to offer additional workshops.
